May update

Psalm 22:27-28
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to Yahweh,
and all the families of the nations shall worship before You.
For kingship belongs to Yahweh, and he rules over the nations
.

Thank you for your prayers. Here is a brief update as to what’s going on here in Peru:

I have had the opportunity to lead a small group of believers in Yanama. Yanama is a four-hour bus ride away. I have made three trips so far over the past month and plan to make more trips in which I will disciple them and seek to lead them to become a church. Church planting is a long and hard work. Without the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit it cannot be done. Please pray:
• that God would give me the wisdom I need to disciple and lead this group,
• that God would continue to do a work in the hearts of this group,
• that God would add new believers to this group, &
• that this group would become a healthy, biblical church.

Next week, a team from my home church, Grace Life Church of the Shoals, will be coming to Peru for a week to help me here in Pomabamba. They will help me in sowing the seed of the Gospel in an area of town by going door-to-door with the Gospel. Later, I will follow up with those who express interest in the Gospel and in further Bible study. Please pray:
• that this trip will go well (safe travel, health, clarity in presenting the Gospel, etc.)
• that the Gospel will be spread,
• that God will open up hearts to hear the Gospel,
• that the Holy Spirit will regenerate their hearts with the Gospel, &
• that God will call out for himself a church.

Also, please continue to pray for Juan, Acasio, Gustavo, Silverio, Antonio, Victor, and others with whom I continue to share the Gopsel. Please pray that God will open up their heart to receive the Gospel. Please pray that a solid work will be started in the town of Pomabamba. As I said last time, it has been dificult to get something started in town. But that which is impossible with men is possible with God. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is powerful to save. If we keep on proclaiming the Gospel and continue beseeching the Lord to do a supernatural work in the hearts of the people here, God will call out for himself a church. So continue to pray!

For the Glory of His Name &
the Furtherance of His Kingdom,

Matthew 28:18-20 — And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Mission Quotes:

What is forgotten by those who glibly assert that the heathen hunger and thirst for the gospel is that only he who by the grace of the Holy Spirit has been born again is willing to be saved on God’s terms as laid down in the gospel.
— R. B. Kuiper

There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is sovereign over all, does not cry: ‘Mine!’
— Abraham Kuyper
