New Update!

Well, it's time for another update.  Thank you for your prayers.  I hope that this newsletter finds you well and serving the Lord.  As I mentioned in my last update, I participated in a conference a few months ago.  Well, one of the men (Jorge) I worked with at the conference has been utilizing what he learned back in his home town.  Toward the end of September, Stan (another missionary) and I will travel to Quindío in order to follow up with him, to find out what he has been doing, and to train him further.  While we are over in that area of Colombia, we will also travel to Risaralda to visit another man (Francisco) who also attended the conference.  Please pray that these visits will be fruitful.

Also, please continue to pray for the work among the Chamí living in downtown Bogotá.  We are about to start a consistent weekly meeting.  Only a few of them are believers.  There will also be a team coming in October to help us film some Bible stories in the Chamí language.  Pray that God will save more Chamí, and that a church will be planted.

I am also continuing to do research on the ethnic groups of Colombia.  There is much work to be done on this, and it can be very tedious.  Please pray that I can find the information needed to help make wiser strategy decisions.

So here is a summary of things to remember as you pray:
• That I will be able to engage the displaced indigenous downtown with the gospel, disciple new believers, and see a true church started among the Chamí people.
• That the follow up with Jorge and Francisco will go well.
• That I will be able to do the much needed research of the indigenous groups in Colombia.
• That I will be devoted to the Word, prayer, and the tasks at hand and grow closer to the Lord every day.
• That God's Name would be great among all peoples as the gospel is proclaimed to the ends of the earth.

Thank you for praying.
