Back in Bogotá…

Greetings!

Thank you for all the prayers. Last month, I returned to Bogotá, Colombia after about five months in the States. I had a wonderful time with family and friends. Moreover, I made many new friends as I visited and spoke at different churches.

Now it is time to continue the work God has for me here. Since coming back to Bogotá, the work I will be doing has changed. I will no longer be working with the Chamí people.

Instead, I will be helping with the displaced Wounaan [woe-NAHN]. There is a small group of Wounaan believers in the southern part of Bogotá. They need help with discipleship.

I will also help to mobilize them for reaching there own people in another area of Colombia in the department of Chocó. There are also some Wounaan believers in Panamá who are interested in helping to reach the Wounaan of Colombia.

Furthermore, I will not be working alone. There a few Colombian believers from a Baptist church in southern Bogotá who will be working along side me in this task.

We have already met with some of the Wounaan this past week [pictured below] and plan to begin studying with them next week.

Here are some prayer concerns:

• That we will be able to start discipling the Wounaan believers so that they will grow in the Faith.

• That the Wounaan in Bogotá will be mobilized to send out their own missionaries to reach their on people in Chocó.

• That Wounaan in Panamá will be able to assist us in reaching the Wounaan in Colombia.

• That I will be able to find an apartment in southern Bogotá in order to cut my long commute.

• That I will be devoted to the Word, prayer, and the task at hand and grow closer to the Lord each and every day.

• That the Name of Christ would be great among all peoples as the gospel is proclaimed to the ends of the earth.
Psalm 67:1-3

May God be gracious to us and bless us
And make his face to shine upon us, Selah
That your way may be known on earth,
Your saving power among all nations.
Let the peoples praise you, O God;
Let all the peoples praise you!
