I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you for praying for me and for the work God is doing here in Colombia. Here's a quick update.
We continue to visit the Katíos to teach from Scripture and pray with them. We have also been able to give them clothes that were donated by the local Baptist church. Many of the Katíos with whom we are working have plans to return to the western part of the country. Please pray that we will make the most of our time with them over the next few weeks. Their lives have been very difficult, and they have very little. Pray that we can give them the hope we have in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pray for us as we continue to work with the Wounaan. Pray that they would grow in their faith in Christ and be mobilized to reach their own people with the gospel.
More opportunities have opened up for us to work with those from eastern Colombia near Venezuela and Brasil. They live in several different shelters near the local Baptist church. Many of them have been attending church. We have also been visiting with them in a shelter where they are living. We have begun to story through the Bible with them. Please pray that we can reach them with the gospel and that they would take the gospel with them when they return to eastern Colombia. Pray that the seed of the gospel would take root and be fruitful in their lives.
Psalm 107:1-3
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble
and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.
