Upcoming time in the States

Greetings!

Thank you all for faithfully praying for me. Pray is an important part of the missionary task (Col 4:2-4; etc.). Please, continue to pray for the work God is doing among the displaced indigenous of Colombia.

Next week, I will be returning to the States for a six-month furlough. My Colombian team will continue to work among the indigenous in Bogotá. They will help disciple the Wounaan with whom we have been working. They will visit the shelters where people from western Colombia live. And they will continue to work with the Katíos in Bogotá. So the work will continue while I'm gone. Please pray for my team as they do so. Pray that the lost will be saved, believers discipled, and some mobilized to reach their own people with the gospel of out Lord.

In the States, I will take some time to rest and visit family and friends. I will also be speaking in several churches about the work in Colombia. Please that my time in the States will be fruitful.

Acts 15:12-18
And all the assembly fell silent,
and they listened to Barnabas and Paul
as they related what signs and wonders
God had done through them among the nations.
After they finished speaking, James replied,
“Brothers, listen to me.
Simeon has related how God first visited the nations,
to take from them a people for his Name.
And with this the words of the prophets
agree, just as it is written,
“‘After this I will return,
and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen;
I will rebuild its ruins,
     and I will restore it,
that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord,
and all the Gentiles who are called by my name,
says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.’”
