New Update

Greetings! I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for all of your support, for praying for me and the work God is doing in Colombia and throughout the world. In these crazy times, may we keep on remembering that our Lord remains on His throne and is faithful in all of His promises to us. Let us therefore boldly take the gospel to all peoples.

Here in Bogota, things continue to open up more after an ever-increasing lockdown. I have been able to get out and visit the indigenous more freely. I have continued to help out the Wounaan believer “Silas.” I have made several visits to the Wounaan for Bible study. I will also be helping Silas in the coming weeks with some of his medical appointments.

I have also been able to visit “Ted and Amy” to encourage them with the gospel in the midst of their numerous health concerns. I haven’t been able to schedule a visit with the “Corey” family since my last visit, but I hope to be able to get one in October.

Last week, I was able to reconnect with a KatÌo man named “Levi.” He lives in a shelter with his family, but many KatÌos have been living in a park near downtown [photo above]. I will be working with Levi to help with some of their physical needs. Pray that as I help with their physical needs many new friendships with the Katios can be established and the gospel proclaimed among them.

At the end of October, I and other missionary plan to have a prayer retreat. It was originally scheduled for April, but of course it had to be cancelled. ,Unless it gets cancelled again, I will be traveling to another part of the country to meet with other missionaries serving in Colombia.

As transportations opens up, I would also like to make a visit some time in the next few months to VaupÈs to see how Leo and Martha are doing with the new work they are starting there. Pray that I can make such a visit and that it would be fruitful.

Again, thank you for your support and prayers. Pray that the Word of the Lord would speed ahead and be honored (2 Thes 3:1) and that many would come to rest in the mercy and grace we have Christ Jesus and His vicarious death on the cross for all of our sins.
