September Update

Grettings!

Thank you for praying for me and for the displaced indigenous peoples of Colombia. Colombia has one of the largest internal displaced population. With over 100 different people groups each with their own culture and worldview of which many have their own language. Please pray for the peoples of Colombia that they might come to know the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Wycliffe missionary was in Bogota recently and was able to meet with the Katío. He was able to communicate some with them in their language from the languages he knows and has studied. They do seem to be speaking a Chamí and Tadó mix.




Please continue to pray for the work among the Wounaan.  My team continues to meet with them for prayer and Bible study. They seem to be eager students of the Word. Please pray that they will have a desire and opportunity to reach other Wounaan with the gospel. Also pray that God would protect them from false teachers. There have been some Jehovah Witnesses visiting the homes in the neighborhood where they live. Pray that they would be steadfast in the gospel of Christ.

Another concern would be the health of Sercelino. He has a few health concerns one of which is the need for cataracts surgery.

Thanks again for persevering in your prays for me. I greatly appreciate them and need them.

Here are some prayer concerns:

• That we will be able to disciple the Wounaan believers so that they may continue to grow in the faith, see the grand story of the Bible, and apply the Word to their lives.

• That the Wounaan in Bogotá will be mobilized to send out their own missionaries to reach their on people in Chocó.

• That the work with the Katío would be fruitful and lead to many coming to Christ and biblical churches planted.  Pray that they would clearly understand the gospel. 

• For the many health concerns among the Wounaan and Katío families.

• That I will be devoted to the Word, prayer, and the task at hand and grow closer to the Lord each and every day.

• That the Name of Christ would be great among all peoples as the gospel is proclaimed to the ends of the earth.

Romans 16:25-27

Now to him who is able to strengthen you 

according to my gospel 

and the preaching of Jesus Christ, 

according to the revelation of the mystery 

that was kept secret for long ages 

but has now been disclosed 

and through the prophetic writings 

has been made known to all nations, 

according to the command of the eternal God,
