Hello, I hope everything is going well with all of you. Thank you for your prayers. I am getting adjusted to my new assignment here. I am finally settled in to my new apartment. I have gotten furniture and other things needed to make it feel like home.
I have started to do research on the indigenous groups. A couple of weeks ago, I flew to Risaralda, Colombia to speak to a Wycliffe missionary concerning some of groups with whom he has worked. The trip proved to be quite helpful in clarifying and correcting some information we have.

New Ministry Here in Bogota
Thank you for your prayers. They are truly appreciated. Here is a brief update. I would like to announce that I have a new ministry here in Bogota. I am no longer working at the student center with indigenous students. Now, I will be doing two other things. I am excited to see what God is going to do.
First, I will be doing research on the various indigenous groups in Colombia to determine their level of evangelization, access to scripture, missionary presence, etc. and developing a database for this information.

December Update
I hope everyone is doing well. I am enjoying it here in Bogota working at the student center. I spend a lot of my time there helping the students with English and math. We have around 70 students that come in for the lunches. Some of them only come for lunch and then leave. Others use the center as a hang out or a place to study. Sometimes a play ping-pong with them. I have shown some of them how to solve a Rubik's cube. I helped one student who for an English class was doing a project on country music. All of this is about building relationships in order to have a foundation on which to share with them the gospel. We were able to see one student come to Christ this semester.

October Update
Hello everyone! Things are going well here in Colombia. I am still tutoring in math and English at the student center and helping with the lunches. Last week we had a garage sell for the students which helped to provide inexpensive clothing and other things for them to buy. The purpose for all of these services is to build relationships with the students which is something that takes time.
Here's something that's new: I have moved out of the house where I was staying. The couple who live there came back to Colombia. I am now staying at the house where the mission office is located. It is closer to the student center, so my commute is shorter.
